Petavelle started with a simple frustration: most dog coats are either a shrunken human jacket or a thin fleece that gives up after one cold week. Neither is built for how a dog actually moves.

So we made the DogFans Jacket. Chunky baffles that hold their loft instead of flattening. A tall padded collar for the neck and chest, where dogs lose heat fastest. Short set-in sleeves that cover the front legs without locking up the shoulder. One centre zip, because nobody wants to wrestle a cold dog into a coat.

What we care about

• Fit over fashion. Our size guide is built on back length, the measurement that actually predicts fit. Seven sizes, from a Yorkie to a Golden Retriever.
• Warmth that lasts. Insulation you can still feel in season two.
• Straight answers. Real sizing help, honest shipping estimates, and a 30-day return window if we get it wrong.

Five colourways. One jacket we'd put on our own dogs. That's the whole catalogue — and we'd rather make one thing properly than twenty things adequately.
